The 2025 NFL Draft got underway on April 24th for the first round where there was a plethora of surprises first things first the trade between Jacksonville and Cleveland where Travis Hunter was drafted at #2 for the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is draft pick is a jolt of energy to the franchise looking to have box office appeal to the fan base. Then Running Back Ashton Jeanty of Boise State was drafted at #6 by the Las Vegas Raiders who can potentially be a blend in running back reminiscent of Emmitt Smith.

Tight End Tyler Warren of Penn State fell to #14 and was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts. But was surprising was he wasn't the first Tight End drafted instead it was Tight End Colston Loveland of Michigan who was drafted by the Chicago Bears at #10. Also what was surprising was the Pittsburgh Steelers with the #21 pick didn't draft Quarterback Shedeur Sanders of Colorado instead it was Defensive Tackle Derrick Harmon of Oregon. The New York Giants made a splash when they drafted 2 players in the first round like Defensive End Abdul Carter of Penn State and then the Giants traded the 34th second round pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for the 25th pick to take Quarterback Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss.

The Giants got their quarterback for the future see what happens moving forward. Overall the Shedeur Sanders slipping in the draft has continued into the second round so only time will tell when he will be finally drafted and attempt to prove to the teams that passed him up that they were wrong for not drafting him now let's see what happens as Sanders remains undrafted.

The NBA Playoffs are in full swing as the Oklahoma City Thunder has been the most impressive and dominant team in the first whether winning Game 1 against the Memphis Grizzlies by score of 131-80. Then win Game 2 by score of 118-99 at home to hold serve then go on the road against Memphis and erase a 26-point deficit then a 29-point deficit to win 114-108. This comeback was the second largest in a postseason game since April 15th 2019 when the Los Angeles Clippers overcame a 31-point deficit to win.

Overall the NBA playoff landscape has been been lackluster in terms of not possibility of a Game 7 in the first round for example the Thunder is looking to sweep the Grizzlies, the Cleveland Cavaliers are up:2-0 against the Miami Heat, the Boston Celtics are up 2-0 against the Orlando Magic and the Indiana Pacers are up 2-0 against the Milwaukee Bucks. See if the teams that are down 0-2 can fight back.

The Denver Nuggets trailed 2-1 to the Los Angeles Clippers facing a must win scenario for Game 4. The Los Angeles Lakers are tied at 1-1 against the Minnesota Timberwolves including a 1-1 tie between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets. In Game 3,the New York Knicks won 118-116 against a Detroit Pistons team that should be up in the series instead of down because the Pistons have outplayed the Knicks at times in the series let's see what happens moving forward in this first round series.
