The College Football Week that was concluded the final weekend in September featuring a variety of upsets including 4 top 10 teams losing in the top 10 especially last Friday when unranked Virginia defeated 8th ranked Florida State Seminoles in double overtime by score of 46-38.

Then Arizona State upset #24 TCU by score of 27-24. Penn State continues to struggle against top 10 teams losing at home against #6 Oregon in double overtime by score of 30-24. Currently under the tenure of Head Coach James Franklin,Penn State is now 4-21. LSU lost to Ole Miss on the road by score of 24-19. Finally Georgia lost to their archival Alabama at home having their longest home winning streak snapped at 33. This win is a signature win by Head Coach Kalen DeBoer for Alabama.

Moving forward to this week's slate of games keep eyes on 10th ranked Alabama at home against the 16th ranked Vanderbilt Commodores. #9 Texas Longhorns plays at unranked Florida Gators. Finally #3 Miami plays at #18 Florida State. Alabama should beat Vanderbilt including the Longhorns beating Florida then Miami will beat Florida State and make a statement winning convincingly.

NFL Outlook:

In the NFL landscape of things the struggles continues defensively for the Baltimore Ravens losing 37-20 to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs got Wide Receiver Xavier Worthy who provided a spark offensively including a 35-yard run on a reverse. Worthy had 5 catches for 83 yards including a 37-yard catch. Mahomes threw 4 touchdown passes. Now Baltimore Ravens are now 1-3.

The Philadelphia Eagles remain unbeaten beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road 31-25. The New York Giants had a new starter at quarterback in Rookie Jaxson Dart and he ran for a touchdown including 54 yards rushing and 111 yards passing. Overall the Giants won their first game of the season by score of 21-18. The Micah Parsons Bowl between the Cowboys and the Packers. This game unfortunately ended in a tie:40-40. The game was a shootout featuring over 300 yards passing between Quarterbacks Dak Prescott and Jordan Love respectively. Parsons had 1 sack but not a game wrecker.


Moving forward to this week's slate of games keep eyes on Broncos vs Eagles,Buccaneers vs Seahawks, Commanders vs Chargers, Chiefs vs Jaguars. The Eagles will remain unbeaten against the Broncos. The Seattle Seahawks will beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,Chargers over Commanders and Chiefs over Jaguars.


MLB Outlook:


The MLB Baseball Playoff began this week where the Yankees beat Red Sox in 3 games. The Chicago Cubs beat the San Diego Padres including Tigers over Guardians. Finally the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Cincinnati Reds in a sweep.

Now the Divisional Series is all set with the Yankees facing the Toronto Blue Jays. The Detroit Tigers plays the Seattle Mariners including Chicago Cubs facing the Milwaukee Brewers then finally the best matchup on paper is the Los Angeles Dodgers playing against the Philadelphia Phillies. Overall The Yankees over Blue Jays,Mariners over Tigers,Cubs over Brewers,and finally The Dodgers over the Philadelphia Phillies.

Finally Lawrence Moten passed away this week at age 53 who was known for the moniker Poetry In Moten due to the his play on the hardwood epitomizing smoothness and representation of effortlessness including wearing his white socks up to his knees. Moten played for Syracuse from 1991-1995. Moten still is the all-time scoring leader in Syracuse Basketball with 2,334 points.
